Change

I don't remember the details anymore. My divorce was long and drawn out and I wanted the divorce. I decided a year before telling my husband that if I was ever well enough, I was leaving him.

And it was probably another year before initial paperwork was started and maybe at that point or maybe another year later, on some day where some paperwork got filed, I had a doctor's appointment with my CF specialist. My heart was racing and my blood pressure was sky high.

I told him I filed paperwork on my divorce that morning and I wanted the divorce but I got married at nineteen and we had been married like twenty years already. It was a big change.

I wasn't concerned about it as a medical symptom. I assured my doctor it wasn't medically significant.
